Subsurface scattering lobe to model a single-layer
medium
Description
A "lobe" for use in the subsurface scattering aggregate material slpm. This uses simple Monte Carlo scattering
simulation for a single layer of an isotropic medium.
BRDF
Actually, it's not a BRDF at all, but a BSSRDF. See the
monograph that first defined BSSRDF or the paper that
introduced the concept to computer graphics.
