Most of our research can be placed into one of four major areas.
  • Our Architectural Modeling work strives to make the modeling process more creative. Modeling should be more than simply data entry - it should stimulate ideas and contribute to the creative process.
  • Realistic Image Synthesis should not be thought of as a single "rendering" operation. Accurate simulations require separate steps involving measurement, light transport and perceptual issues.
  • Our Digital Photography work encompasses camera calibration, image relighting, and image-based rendering.
  • Visualization involves taking large data sets (from measurements or simulations) and producing images that give the user insight into the data.
Click on any section of this overview for more detailed information about that research area.
